AI and managed IT for law firms.

Lawyers and paralegals lose hours to intake calls, conflict searches and first drafts of routine letters. We automate those steps with a lawyer approving the output, and we keep client confidences locked down.

  • Intake and conflict checks
  • First drafts of routine documents
  • Deadline and docket tracking
  • Discovery and document summaries

These are the first four automations we usually build for legal. Each one runs on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or any other AI platform, connects to the tools you already use, and keeps a person on every decision that matters. A single workflow typically costs about $5,000 in the market, and our fixed quote comes in under it.

  • Intake and conflict checks.A web form or phone message becomes a structured intake record, and the parties are checked against your conflicts database. An attorney reviews the results and decides whether to open the matter. Example: cuts intake handling from 30 minutes to 10 per new inquiry.
  • First drafts of routine documents.Matter details fill your own templates for demand letters, engagement letters and standard motions. The responsible attorney edits and signs every draft. Example: saves about 4 hours a week for a 10-lawyer practice.
  • Deadline and docket tracking.Court notices and opposing counsel emails are read for dates, and proposed calendar entries are created for the matter team. A paralegal confirms each date before it lands on the calendar. Example: cuts manual docketing time by about half.
  • Discovery and document summaries.Large sets of produced documents are sorted, tagged and summarized so the team knows where to look first. Attorneys review the source documents for anything they rely on. Example: shortens first-pass review of a 2,000-page production by 1 to 2 days.

Automation only holds up on systems that are patched, backed up and locked to the right people. Managed IT help desk and monitoring start at $75 per user per month and run 24x7x365, with upkeep and security added a la carte.

  • Client files restricted by matter, with MFA on every account.
  • Email protection against wire fraud and spoofed settlement instructions.
  • Encrypted laptops and phones for lawyers who work from court and home.
  • Retention and backup policies that match your file retention rules.

Which rules usually apply

ABA Model Rules 1.1 and 1.6 and ABA Formal Opinion 512 on generative AI shape how firms use these tools, along with ethics guidance from the New York and New Jersey bars, and client data falls under the NY SHIELD Act and New Jersey's breach notification law. This is general information, and your own advisers have the final word.

What it looks like in practice

For example, a 12-lawyer personal injury firm gets about 40 web inquiries a week, and a paralegal spends 25 minutes on each one. With an intake automation, each inquiry arrives as a filled record with a conflict search already run, and the paralegal spends about 8 minutes confirming it. That frees roughly 11 hours a week, and an attorney still decides on every new matter.

Questions

Common questions

Is it ethical for lawyers to use AI?

Yes, when the lawyer supervises the output, protects client confidences and understands the tool. ABA Formal Opinion 512 sets out those duties, and we configure tools so client data stays private and every draft gets attorney review.

Does our client data train the AI model?

No. We use business and enterprise plans of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft 365 Copilot that do not train on your data, and we document the settings for your files.

Can you work with our document management system?

In most cases, yes. We check the system and its API on the free first call and tell you plainly if a workflow needs a different approach.
